We are beginning to work on multiplication facts. Our addition and subtraction facts tests are not being given as often anymore and in their place are multiplication ones. Please make sure to begin working on this with your child at home. Flash cards can be purchased for a reasonable price at Wal-Mart and the Dollar Tree.
Our next math test will be on Friday November 21.

God strengthens us to be holy. This is the concept we will be focusing on in Unit 2. In Chapter 5, we will be discussing how we are all called to follow Jesus. In Chapter 6, we will look at how Jesus invites us to receive God's mercy. In Chapter 7, we will be talking about how we worship God. Chapter 8 will talk to us about God's laws for living. And finally, in Chapter 9 we will talk about honoring Mary.
Throughout the year we will also be learning daily about many of our Church's great Saints. During the month of October, some Saints we have learned about so far are St. Francis of Assisi, St. Terese the Little Flower, and St. Teresa of the Child Jesus. Ask your child each evening to share with you something about our St. of the Day!

Currently we are learning all about Colonial Life in Maryland. Did you know that our state of Maryland was named after the Catholic queen of England, Queen Henrietta Maria?
