Science Rocks!
Life Science is a 7th grade course that provides students with the opportunity to learn that Life science is the study of living things. The life sciences comprise all fields of science that involve the scientific study of living organisms, like plants, animals, and human beings.
The students will learn about environmental and global issues which effect our world. Emphasis will be placed on skill development to provide students with the basic tools they need to be successful in the course.
Science: Why do I need to know this stuff?
In order to be well informed in today’s society, in is important to have a basic understanding of certain subjects. Science is no exception. Even though you may think you’ll never use a single fact or concept from science, the reality is, we are immersed in world that is complex and intertwined. The scientific process can be a useful tool in attempting to make sense of the world. This course builds on the concepts covered previously in 7th grade science but with heavy emphasis on topics relating to the physical, chemical and geological sciences.
