Mother Seton School
Welcome to Middle School
Welcome to another great school year, where students will be learning many exciting new things. Please take some time to read over the information for each grade level. Also I do post important homework assignments and documents for each class as needed. So if you need to access them and print a copy, please do. To parents, as always, thank you for your support in your childs education. Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact me. Finally, lets work together in building a positive learning enviroment and one that exemplies the mission of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton.
Thank you and God Bless.
6th Grade Social Studies
Welcome to Sixth Grade Social Studies! The students will have the opportunity to travel through time and faraway places as they learn about the history that has shaped our world.
The students will begin the year learning about the Themes of Geography and the Beginnings of Civilization. They will expand their vocabulary as they learn new content words and apply their writing skills on a daily basis in class. Students should expect frequent homework assignments to review the concepts taught in class. Please check my web page often to check on any long-term assignments or dates for tests.
8th Grade Social Studies
Welcome Back! I am so excited to see all of you.
This year in Social Studies, we will cover many topics as you learn about the History of the United States beginning with the Causes of the Civil War. I strongly believe that having a good understanding of our nation's history allows us to appreciate our freedoms more and think soundly about tackling the tough issues we are faced with as a nation today. I encourage you to share your opinions with your classmates in class and apply what is discussed in class to your everyday life.

I'm pleased that you are visiting my Classroom News page. Just some quick reminders:
Thank you for your support in your child's education.
Peer Mediation is all about peers helping their peers solve disagreements peaceably.
All Peer Mediators have been specially trained to mediate disputes. I am pleased to announce this year's peer mediators! They are: Robert Walker, Carrie Reaver, Mackenzie Kirby, Sarah Shatzer, Grace Mazeleski, Max Kirby, Nora Stocksdale, and Gabby Ferarro. Mrs. Zigler (our school guidance counselor) and I are the facilitators for this school program. If you have any questions concerning Peer Mediation, please contact either of us and we will be glad to talk with you about it.
