In English 9, Tri-three, we will cover the following: #1. We will learn about or refresh ourselves on basic GRAMMAR as it relates to writing. #2. We will research and write a PERSUASIVE PAPER, and we'll learn proper MLA citation format for this paper. #3. We will read and study the classic American novel TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, and we'll do writing and activities associated with that. #4. We'll learn a great speech technique to prepare us for a HERO SPEECH.  #5. We will practice more Grad Writing Tips, Practice, and Learning in advance of the April 17th test day. Lastly, #6. We will do Independent student reading and book talks (usually on Fridays) throughout the term.
