Pre-AP:
I am excited to be teaching Pre-AP this year. This will be my first full year teaching this subject here at Danny Jones. You can expect your child to be pushed throughout the year. We will have homework almost every night, and I will try to keep the work within 15 minutes. It is important for every child to practice math every day. I will post assignments on our district website through the Skyward grade book. If you have any questions/concerns, please do not hesitate to email me.
Math Improvement:
This class can be challenging. Most of the work that we do in here is "word problem" based. They are questions designed to make students dig though and try to find out what the question wants, then find the answer...it is typically not a question that says 'here I am, solve me'. There are a lot of 'why' and 'explain' questions involved as well. You can expect your child to be pushed throughout the year.
