IB Theory of Knowledge
Theory of Knowledge is an epistemological course usually taught in the junior or senior year of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program. ToK is primarily concerned with problems of knowing and is designed to: challenge the assumptions of knowledge, examine the reliability of critical sources, consider different cultural and emotional perceptions, and foster international understanding. A key element in the IBO's educational philosophy, ToK examines problems of knowing in Social Science, Natural Science, Math, Art, History, and Ethics.
