Welcome to Taylor's Reading Corner! My name is Tamra Taylor. I am the reading teacher, as well as the Resopnse to Intervention Coordinator, here at Roan Creek Elementary School. My responsibilities include teaching literacy classes to Pre-K through third grade and the supervision of the tutoring program in kindergarten through third grade. We have several assistants and volunteers who help make our tutoring program a success.
I started teaching in 1992. I have taught first grade through third grade at various times during my career, but at the heart of it all was a love for reading. This is my third year in my current position. I look forward to keeping you informed with updates and current news. Check back often!

Literacy and RTI Intervention
Stanford 10 Achievement Test will be administered to students in Kindergarten through Second Grade the last week of April. Make sure your child gets enough rest and is at school each day.
Students be sure to practice your leveled reader and study your Star words each night to prepare for your weekly fluency assessment.
