This reading and writing intensive course introduces you to literature of various genres. You will study major authors in poetry, drama, and fiction. You will read many works in their entirety and some in excerpted form. By the end of the course, you will be familiar with writers such as William Shakespeare, Ray Bradbury, and Harper Lee, as well as, gain a thorough understanding of the writing process.

The aim of this 12th grade IB English course is to encourage a personal appreciation of literature and develop an understanding of the techniques involved in literary criticism, develop powers of expression to a range of literary works, and to broaden the perspective through study and close analysis of the written text.
