The study of British Literature spans from the Anglo-Saxons, Middle Ages, Renaissance, Restoration and the Eighteenth Century, the Romantics, Victorians, and the Twentieth Century. We will study both the historical aspects and the prominent writers of each time period.

This reading and writing intensive course introduces you to literature of various genres. You will study major authors in poetry, drama, and fiction. You will read many works in their entirety and some in excerpted form. By the end of the course, you will be familiar with writers such as William Shakespeare, Ray Bradbury, and Harper Lee, as well, as gain a thorough understanding of the writing process.
