This course is designed for students who have successfully completed Computer Applications I and wish to learn more about computer business applications using Microsoft Office 2007.
Students will have an opportunity to gain the basic skills necessary for employment in any business-related environment. They will learn the techniques and receive training on equipment/software used in many businesses today. Students will learn to use the computer for advanced word processing, database, spreadsheet, desktop publishing, and other applications.
Dual credit (3 hours) is offered through Southeast Missouri State University for qualified students (as AD101—Microcomputer Applications).

This is a business course that stresses the opportunities and challenges of managing a business. You will learn about management, what managers do, and the skills necessary to become a successful manager, whether it be a supervisor or executive. This course is for those students desiring to pursue a business major at the postsecondary level. In class work is completed from Business Principles and Management, a South-Western Publishing Company textbook.
Expect to interact and participate in this course. Students will complete chapter activities, discuss news articles, do Internet activities, create special projects, conduct group work, and make presentations.
Some specific topics this course will focus on are the organization of a business, marketing products and services, financing operations, managing and developing employee relationships, and decision-making skills in a competitive business world.

This course will focus on the design aspect of website development, including evaluating sites for design elements, creating sites using HTML, CSS, and Dreamweaver, and using advanced features on sites, including utilizing Flash.
