Activity--Visit the online free banner maker websites and create a heading banner for the top of your page.

Save it to the same folder as your index.html page, insert it on your page, and remove the H1 at the top.
Then, log into Black Apple Host, delete the old index, upload the new one, and upload the image.

Again, main setup including the heading image, image map, and columned setup (index.html) must be finished by today. Teacher detention forms will be handed out at the beginning of the hour for those who do not have this completed (again, that's for Wednesday afters school). Everyone should be working. If we continue to have people surfing the internet, internet will be locked down for the project. I will continue to write up those who wish to not work.

--NOTE: Some of you are really not working hard in class daily. DO NOT make me force you to work each day or you will be written up. I make notes daily on those of you who require prodding and I am tired of it. You will be referred to the office if you decide to disrespect me by not working on what is assigned.
--IMAGES: If you need help getting started in Fireworks, just ask. But, take any pictures first and get them transferred to your computer so you'll be ready to work on it.

Activity--Finish uploading. Be sure your website SITE is set up correctly in Dreamweaver. See below (there is a PPT) if you need help. This will make it much easier than file by file uploading (if it works). Otherwise, finish using the method we used yesterday.
LAST 15 MINUTES--you will be watching a video on CSS. Please copy the PROJECT FILES folder from the H drive, Web Design-CSS folder to your U drive, Web Design folder. This needs to be done BEFORE the video begins!

WEDNESDAY:
Project due date; have them completed by then (still trying to figure out the upload process... lots of issues with this)

THURSDAY:
You may finish your projects today...if you are finished, I'd like you to peer review others who are finished. Please print a peer review sheet (there's one on the Premiere class page under downloads)

FRIDAY:
Project uploading still isn't working...but...as of right now, if everyone can work hard THURS and FRI (or at least work on homework if you are done) I will allow you to finish up Friday. We'll figure out uploading next week. There will be a test next week.

Work on projects. Remember, the user must get to make decisions throughout the story! And, you must create FOUR images yourself in Fireworks... can be buttons, animations, up to you. Those must be used in the story. Do not forget Alt Text on images!

FRIDAY:

Continue projects--we're looking at a TUESDAY due date, but if you finish early, be productive or you will receive an additional assignment. Please help each other out...some people are catching on faster than others....

Tuesday:
REMEMBER, when you set up your Adventure story, create the main page FIRST. Create a stylesheet for it and set your colors, background, fonts, etc. THIS IS REQUIRED. Then, SAVE AS and save 1, 2, 3, etc. as each page. LOOK AT THE SCORING GUIDE!!!

Wednesday:
Keep going... remember that name handwriting animation is due MONDAY. Teacher spot checks today... if you have not made good progress or have not started your Adventure stories, you will have to come in for Advisory tomorrow AND be assigned a teacher morning detention for THURSDAY (7:30).

Thursday:
Adventure stories...work on them...due next week, probably Friday (remember, you have to create some of your own graphics, so pace yourself).

BELLRINGER: Study page 116 in the book.. you need to know what all these tags do! (and know what your basic tags--HTML, HEAD, TITLE, BODY are about, too) and pg. 113 (answers on 122); Quiz on Friday!!!!

ACTIVITY: If you have not finished Chapter 3, please do so!

THEN...We're going to be working on creating some web graphics in the next few weeks (after we take our first test...). But if you are done with the chapter, start working in Macromedia FIREWORKS (use the shortcut on your Desktop) by completing tutorial on this website--

BELLRINGER--Get a partner; get a sheet of paper and divide into 8 sections and write down the required tags; rip it apart and take turns putting them in order (shuffle and try again a few times each)

ACTIVITY--Copy WebDesign-HeadFirst folder from H drive to your U drive. Then, start Chapter 2 of the textbook.

BELLRINGER--Open first.html; add the following things--2 lists of things (one ordered OL and one unordered UL), a paragraph designed as a blockquote (just make it about your weekend plans), and insert an image. Save a picture (a small one, not a big one) from the internet into the same folder as your html file and use the img tag to insert it... don't forget your alt text! SAVE and I will check these Tuesday!

ACTIVITY---Finish Chapter 2 if you did not and then move on to Chapter 3...stay busy!! Add to your notes and actually READ the chapter.
