| Welcome!! |
Hi! I'm Mrs. Amy Seel. Welcome to the 2010-2011 school year. I am excited to begin my tenth year of teaching. The first three years of my teaching experience was spent at Civic Memorial High School in Bethalto, Illinois. At Civic Memorial, I taught general science, biology, and environmental science. I was also a volleyball coach. This will be my seventh year at Belleville East, where I teach honors biology and biology. My journey at Belleville East did not begin as a teacher, I am a graduate of Belleville East (Class of 1995).
After graduating from Belleville East, I attended Belleville Area College on a volleyball scholarship. Once I completed my two years at Belleville Area College, I attended Saint Louis University on a volleyball scholarship. At SLU, I earned a bachelor's degree in biology. My teacher certification was completed at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. I recently completed my master's degree in teacher leadership at McKendree University.
As you can tell from my name, Mrs. Seel, I am married. My husband and I have two little boys. Camden is seven years old and Braden is five years old. When I am not teaching, I'm spending as much time as possible with my amazing family! That family also includes an eight year old yellow lab named Graham, a fish named Happy, and two African dwarf frogs (Bomber and Lightning).
I love being a biology teacher! My hope is that you have as much fun as I do in our classroom! Have a fun and successful school year!! |
