Thank You For Helping

posted: May 4, 2011
Just over two weeks ago, I posted an article here at ClassJump explaining how the site is financed and asking for help to offset the cost of the server. The question was: Is ClassJump Worth $1? I have to admit, I worried a bit as my index finger hovered over the "post article" button. What if no one thought the service provided here was worth supporting?

From the time that I encouraged my index finger to have faith and click, ClassJump, Inc has received $1,615.59 in tax deductible contributions. Donations ranged from $1 to $100! As I write this, every penny from every contribution is going straight back into paying for the cost of the ClassJump.com server, which on an average costs $540.00 every month.

Thanks so much to everyone who stepped forward to help confirm my belief that what ClassJump.com provides is valued and appreciated. It's a remarkable feeling.

What Next?

ClassJump is now listed with GuideStar.org, which you can see by clicking here. My hope is that teachers, parents and students will use the GuideStar.org features, such as their "Write a Review" section and also their "share ClassJump at Facebook" button to give our new presense at GuideStar more meaning for potential contributors. Hopefully, GuideStar.org will help us reach a wider audiance and inform potential supporters of the valuable services provided here.

I've created a new page at ClassJump.com that gives potential supporters a much more informative look at what really happens here. It also shows people what is happening here, in real time. Click here to see that page. It's really quite stunning!

ClassJump still needs all the support it can raise. The cost of the server is ongoing, month after month. While the big buttons at the top of the pages have been removed for now, please consider contributing if you have not done so already.

Thanks again and best wishes,

great website! can you create an area where students can always access particular links? I want to keep a list of important links on the front page. Can you make a way to do this? Can it already be done? Thanks!
