Welcome to Mr. Suneson's Classes
This will be a challenging but fun year to look forward to. Alot of new and exciting events will be taking place during and after the school day. More competitions, newer fitness equipment, quality weight room, additional intramural activities are just the beginning. Hold on for an action packed year!
Driver Education
The District #833 driver education course is now offered through Community Education. It is rated as one of the best driver education programs in our state, You may contact them at 651-458-6600 for times and dates of classes. The classes are offered after the school day. They last for 2 1/2 hours for 13 days for the classroom phase. Next will be the simulation phase and then the on-the-road phase,. The total cost is $339. You may call Community Education for more information.
Health
This course is a graduation requirement.
The purpose of this course is to enable each individual to adjust to our changing society in a healthy way. Emphasis is on the development of a wellness lifestyle. Students will learn to be responsible for their own health, apply the principles of healthy living and will analyze the influence of culture, media, and technology that effect health.

This course is a graduation requirement. We emphasize fitness,
wellness, and skill development, and expose you to a variety of
team, life, and dual activities. This is a fun and enjoyable class
where you will explore the health related effects in the following
activities: volleyball, Ultimate Frisbee, table tennis, badminton,
softball, floor tennis, flag football, basketball, swimming,
Strength and Conditioning
Students will explore and experience the realm
of physical conditioning through weight-lifting, flexibility training, and plyometrics. Each student will have a computerized fitness plan for their potentials and limitations. The primary emphasis of this class is the development of muscular strength and endurance, using the “Bigger, Faster, Stronger” program. Other health related fitness components will be addressed in selected activities.
Team Sports
This course is designed to provide the more
skilled, athletic and highly competitive students an opportunity to improve their team sports skills and fitness. Through a high level of participation and competition, students will be able to demonstrate those skills using sportsmanship, respect, leadership and positive attitude in many activities including football, softball, soccer, volleyball, lacrosse, floor hockey, broomball, water games, basketball and Ultimate Frisbee. Both Team Sports (Fall/Spring) 0735T and Team Sports (Winter) 0736T can be taken for credit. |
