Welcome to Moberly Area Technical Center!
Welcome to Moberly Area Technical Center. We are an area technical center serving eleven different high schools. Approximately 700 students from Cairo, Fayette, Glasgow, Harrisburg, Higbee, Madison, North Central Regional School, Salisbury, Sturgeon, and Westran high schools attend each year. We hope you will choose to be one of these students!

Moberly Rotary Club Scholarship
April 12, 2013
This scholarship is open to any Moberly student attending post-secondary education. The completed application is due to Mrs. Johanning of the Moberly High School Guidance Office by April 12.

Orscheln Outstanding Technical Student Scholarship
March 26, 2013
Students must be nominated for this scholarship by their program instructor. Each program can nominate only one student. Completed applications are due to Mrs. Johanning by Tuesday, March 26.

Mid-Missouri Silver Belles Chapter Scholarship
March 15, 2013
The Mid-Missouri Silver Belles Chapter is offering a $300 (minimum)scholarship to any young person in the local area. This scholarship is open to both males and females. Completed applications must be post-marked by March 15. Applications can be picked up in the MATC Student Services Office.
Moberly Area Community College representative
March 7, 2013
Mark Chambers, from Moberly Area Community College, will be at MATC on Thursday, March 7 to meet with interested students. He will be available periods 2,3,6, and 7. Students can apply for college at that time or get questions answered about MACC programs. There will be an all-call before each session.
Partners In Education Cardinal Health Scholarship
March 1, 2013
MATC's Partners In Education, Cardinal Health, will be offering 4 non-renewable scholarships for instructor-nominated seniors. If you are nominated, the completed scholarship application is due to Mrs. Johanning by Friday, March 1. Late applications will not be accepted. See Mrs. Johanning if you have any questions.

Breaking Traditions Award
January 23, 2013
Non-traditional senior students may be nominated by their instructors for this award. It is designed to recognize outstanding students who are excelling in programs not traditional for their gender. The nomination packet must be e-mailed to Mrs. Johanning by January 23. The photo permission form must be signed and returned to Mrs. Johanning by the same date. Both forms along with the judging criteria can be downloaded below. Please contact Mrs. Johanning with any questions.

Annual Skills Expo!
January 17, 2013
Moberly Area Technical Center will host its annual Skills Expo on Thursday, January 17, 2013. This event allows approximately 450 area sophomores to explore oppotunities avialable to them at MATC. Moberly sophomores will tour during periods 1-3, area school sophomores will tour during periods 6-8. In addition, MATC will host an open house that same evening from 6:00 to 8:00. All students, parents, and interested community members are invited to attend. (Inclement weather date is January 24.)
Linn State Technical College field trip
December 7, 2012
Interested juniors and seniors are invited to check out LSTC. The bus will leave MATC at 7:30 and return around 2:00. Lunch will be provided at no charge. All students must have a signed permission slip to participate. Permission slips will be available here by November 12 and will be due back to Mrs. Johanning by November 29. Late permission slips will not be accepted for any reason as the student list will be distributed on November 29 to all high schools.

Based on the degree programs offered at LSTC, students from the following MATC programs are eligible to go on this trip:

Interested MATC juniors and seniors are invited to tour the MACC campus and learn about programs. The bus will leave MATC at 12:00 and return around 2:00. Permission slips are available below.

November 13, 2012
A representative from the Missouri Welding Institute will present to interested students in the community room. Presentations will take place during 3rd and 6th hours. There will be an all-call for interested students to attend.
Northeast Missouri Career & Technical Student of the Year Award
October 30, 2012
One student will be chosen by MATC to represent the building in this award competition. Students must be nominated by their instructor according to award guidelines. Student portions of the application are due to Mrs. Johanning by Tuesday, October 30. A MATC committee will then choose one student to represent MATC. All other applications will be sent to the respective high schools for consideration.
Mexico Advanced Technology Center field trip
October 19, 2012
Interested juniors and seniors from select MATC programs are invited to tour the Mexico ATC campus and learn about programs. Field trip permission slips are due to Mrs. Johanning by October 11. No late slips will be accepted.
