Interested in finding a new book that you will like? The following links will help you do just that.

**Playaway Recomendations**

Airborn by Kenneth Oppel: Matt Cruse is a cabin boy on the airship Aurora. He dreams of becoming captain one day. However, many adventures lie ahead of him. He meets a girl, finds a new species, and fights air pirates. This is a fast paced novel.

Deadline by Chris Crutcher: Ben Wolf has been diagnosed with an incurable leukimia his senior year. He does not want to be treated differently, so he does not tell anyone about it--not even his brother or parents. This novel connects to some of the characters in Athletic Shorts.

Athletic Shorts by Chris Crutcher: Collection of short stories about characters from his novels. You don't need to know the novels to enjoy this collection. Honest and funny.

Outside Beauty by Cynthia Kadohata: Four sister who all have different father's are forced to seperate and live with them after their mother's accident. Beautifully written tale about the bond of sisterhood.

**Author Recomendations**

Suzanne Collins: Write thrilling tales of teenager placed in horrible situations. She write the fantastic novel The Hunger Games. This is a book that you cannot put down until it is over. Then you have to move to the second book, Catching Fire.

Sandra Cisneros: Writes poetic novels and beautiful poems all of which deal with the latino exprience. She is one of my favorite authors. House On Mango Street is a must read.

Neil Gaiman: Writes great fantasy novels. Author of Coraline and Stardust (both made into movies). My new favorite book of his is The Graveyard Book.

Chris Crutcher: From Cascade, Idaho. Many of his locations are in Idaho. His characters are athletes experiencing hard times.

John Green: His main characters are sarcastic teen boys who are usually looking for something in their lives. Full of humor.

Markus Zusak: Australian author who writes from unusual points of view. In The Book Theif, Death is the narrator. Fabulous writer.

Sarah Dessen: Main characters are always girls who have experienced or are going through hard times.
