Welcome to Our Lady of Victories School. Your children will be having an exciting time learning new things in Spanish and Computer class. Please check here for any special projects and assignments. You may also access Power School through this website by clicking on links.
Spanish Kindergarten to Second Grade
Students in classes Kindergarten to Second Grade use Muy Bien Level A. Level A allows the student to become acquainted with the Spanish language. The emphasis is on comprehension, short conversation and word recognition. Classes meet once a week.
Computers Grades Kindergarten to 8th Grade
Spanish Third Grade to Fifth Grade
Students in classes Third Grade to Fifth Grade use Muy Bien Level B. Level B builds upon vocabulary and structures learned in Level A to achieve a higher level of comprehension and conversation. Emphasis is placed on a beginning level of reading and writing. Classes meet once a week.
Spanish Sixth Grade
Students in Sixth Grade use Muy Bien Level C. Level C builds upon vocabulary and structures from Level A and B. Emphasis is placed on a higher level of comprehension, vocabulary, reading, writing, and grammatical concepts. Different customs from Hispanic America are also presented. Classes meet twice a week.
Spanish Seventh Grade
Spanish is taught everyday and is a major subject.The program is designed for students with some prior knowledge. The overall objective of our textbook Hola! Viva el espanol! is to develop, reinforce, and refine proficiency in reading, writing, listening and culture. Students will gain knowledge of how the language is structured and how to use this knowledge to express their own needs.
Spanish Eighth Grade
Eighth Grade Spanish is designed to help students attain a desirable level of proficiency in four basic skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. It is developed with simple materials that studnets can relate to their own experiences. They will learn to speak about their daily lives,express their opinions and supply information.
