Spanish 2 is a continuation of Spanish 1. The students will review material from Spanish 1 and then will move on to the material for Spanish 2. There will be added emphasis on writing and speaking. The grammar for this course is a review of present tense verbs from Spanish 1 and then an introduction to the present subjunctive, future, and preterite tense of all types of verbs.

The new textbook we now use for Level 2 is called "Avancemos 2". Topics for Spanish 2 are health/wellness, restaurant/food, travel, passtimes, the arts, daily routine, ancient and modern Mexico, and of course more culture. The book is available online at www.classzone.com.

The grammar for this course is a review of past tense verbs from Spanish 2 and then an introduction to the future, conditional, subjunctive, and perfect tenses of all types of verbs. Topics for Spanish 3 are camping/beach, nature, environmental issues, professions, technology, shopping, passtimes, hobbies, travel, geography, countries, and cities.
