Welcome to Grady MS Grade 8 Historians
In Grade 8, students study the history of the United States from the early colonial period through Reconstruction. Students will study how economic, social, and political characteristics shaped key events in our nation’s history. Primary and secondary source material such as biographies and autobiographies; novels; speeches, letters, and diaries will be used throughout the course. Alternative Texts such as poetry, music, video clips, video games, art, and photography will be used to encourage student engagement.

Students need to bring their Student Composition Book to class daily.

Make-Up Work assignments can be accessed from the Chapter web-pages. Make-Up and SAC assignments will be taken from the American Republic student textbook.
