I am very excited to go through the 2010-11 school year with you. Together we will perfect the reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills you need to be successful in middle school and beyond. If you are having difficulty in class, please see me to arrange further assistance.

Time available for additional assistance/tutoring: Monday-Friday lunch and after-school from 2:15-3:15.

Students will receive further instruction in reading comprehension and writing skills using the Achieve 3000 computer program and supplemental materials.

Throughout the school year, students will read, analyze, clarify, evaluate, critique, and compare works of grade-level appropriate informational and literary texts. Students will communicate ideas effectively in writing that demonstrates research processes and organizational strategies. The class will also discuss ideas and perspectives on a variety of topics.
