Welcome to the Pre-Engineering program at Rocky Mountain High School.
The curriculum for these classes comes for Project Lead the Way, a nonprofit organization created to provide curriculum and training for middle school and high school teachers.

Computer Integrated Manufacturing / Digital Electronics
This double blocked class will give students credit for two classes, Computer Integrated Manufacturing and Digital Electronics.

The first is a class covering modern manuvacturing methods, focusing on robotics and CAD / CAM for a CNC Mill.

The second covers basic digital electonics, how computers "think". Topics include binary number systems, basic analog electonics, Boolean logic, soldering, circuit simplification, programing of FPGAs, and simple programming.

Introduction to Engineering Design
Introduction to Engineering Design / Architectural Drafting is the introdutory class in our pre-engineering program. The curriculum is from Project Lead the Way.

Principles of Engineering
An exploratory class in the different fields and careers in engineering. There are multiple units in this class including simple machines, trusses, simple automated systems, ballistics, thermodyamics, and electricity. All include hands-on activities. The curriculum for this class is from Project Lead the Way (PLTW)
