Reminders:
*Gym is on Tuesdays and Wednesdays; wear sneakers.
*Library is on Mondays and Thursdays. Return book from last week.
*The first Friday of the month is usually a 12:00 dismissal. Send a morning snack on those days, and do not send lunch.
Pre-K4 News: Week of May 21, 2012
Somebody get a casting agent for the Pre-K4 Waltzers! They were fantastic!!! Great job, boys and girls!
Oops! I need to make a correction: Beach Day is Wednesday, May 30th (not May 31st as stated in the letter that went home). I apologize. Also, we will be treated to pizza on that day! You do not need to send lunch for your child.
This week we will have sight word and alphabet review. We will also read "word families". I will begin assessing each child individually because it is almost time for Progress Reports. Our last two Sight Words are: love, at. We will finish making presents for Fathers' Day; this present will be a big hit!! In "Good God Choices" this week the children will learn what they can do if a friend is being intimidated.
The side door is opened at 8:10 and closes at 8:18 in the morning. Please check to see if the side door is open before ringing the front doorbell.
We will be using the play yard more often, as the weather has improved. I suggest sending in a baseball cap or other "sun hat" for your child. Each child can keep the hat in his or her cubby and retrieve it when we are playing outside. Please label with your child's name.
Reminders
School will be closed on May 25th and May 28th.
Beach Day is May 30th.
Moving Up Ceremony Practice for all students is on 5/31, 6/1, 6/4. If it is your child's "OFF" day, drop him or her off at the usual time. Pickup will be in the classroom at 10:30.
June 1st is a 12:00 dismissal.
Moving Up Ceremony is on June 5th at 10AM in the cafeteria. That is the last day of school for Pre-K4.
If you would like me to tutor your child over the summer, please let me know as soon as possible.
