This is a class made up mostly of string minors, along with some students who studied violin, viola, cello, or bass in junior high school. It is a second year technique class. Students will learn to play in the higher positions, and will expand their bowing techniques, as well as learn to play with vibrato.

This is a beginners' class for piano or guitar majors, as well as for players of other instruments who would like to learn a second instrument.  Students learn the basics of playing violin, viola, cello, or double bass.

This is a  technique class for advancing violinists, violists, cellists, and double bassists.  Students will hone their skills with three-octave scale and arpeggio studies, etudes, and solo works.

This is a full symphony orchestra of advanced players. They will expand their reading and playing skills as they become familiar with a variety of music from the mid 19th cantury to the present.

This is a class for advanced string players. They will expand their sight reading and ensemble skills while becoming familiar with a variety of musical styles and genres.

This course is the second in a three semester sequence of music theory. Students will learn inversions of triads, the uses of secondary chords, seventh chords, figured bass, and the rules of four-part writing.
