I am looking forward to a happy, self-fulfilling, and productive year for my students. I have planned a rigorous curriculum that will challenge and stimulate these precious young people, our future, to go beyond their comfort zone in order to learn new things, explore, develop, and grow.
English 8 Cluster Homework/Exams:
Most of the work in the class revolves around Special Projects. Because of the magnitude of work involved in completing the Special Projects, I encourage you to work on these projects nightly rather than waiting until the last minute.
In addition to Special Projects, you are expected to complete and turn in Vocabulary assignments every other Monday. I may postpone a Vocabulary assignment if it interferes with the completion of a Special Project.
On alternate Mondays (i.e., Mondays when there is no Vocabulary assignment), we will work on grammar and language structure. This work in general does not involve homework.

Sincerely,
Mrs. R. Schrager-Cole, English and French Teacher
