Course: Welcome to Health and Fitness class. Think of this course as academic P.E. with some activity on the side. Our goal is to learn about basic structure and function of the human body and what we can do to maintain optimal physical, mental and emotional health throughout our lives. To achieve this goal, we need to make educated choices based on accurate information, information acquired from informed and qualified sources. We will also be researching conditions that can result from not taking care of our health.

Fitness part:
Bring workout attire and be prepared to put it on every Tuesday.
We will be joining Coach Hughes for the famous “abs workout”
Strengthen the core and the rest will follow.
No whining (me included)

We will also make a walking program, when the weather is more “suitable” Snow shoeing/Nordic- may also be possible.
Other fitness activities may include ,basketball, yoga , hula hoops-WooHOO, Calenetics, aerobic workout design, light weights.
