All-region Band Concert/Clinic

Requirements:
Students who earned a chair in the All-region bands.
--We will leave during green period.
--School transportation provided.
--Lunch will be provided and paid for.
More specifics to be announced. |

All-region Band Concert/Clinic
December 5, 2009

--We will leave HFS early in the morning.
--Wear comfortable clothes for rehearsals, your khakis and polo shirt will be great.
--Lunch will be provided and paid for.
--You will need to bring your concert uniform that you received from the high school.
--You will change into your concert attire during lunch.
--Parents/Guardians you will sign your child out with Ms. Ledesma so that they can go home with you after the concert.
Concert starts at 2:00pm--Concert is free. All parents, family and friends are invited.
Parents/guardians---there will be a company set up before the concert selling All-region shirts with names and plaques. You will also have opportunity to order a recording of the concert.
Concert is at Weatherford High School.

Featuring both the 7th and 8th grade bands.
Times and specifics to be announced.
It is a tradition that we have a reception after the concert.
We will need parent/guardians to help set up the reception area before the concert.
Please call or email Ms. Ledesma if you can help set up.
Dress for the concert:
Ladies--dress slacks, skirts or dresses. Flip flops and athletic shoes are not allowed.
Gentleman--dress slacks, dress shirt with a tie. You are welcome to wear a suit if you have one. Athletic shoes are not allowed.

8th Grade Band UIL Competition
Eligibility requirements:
--- Be able to play all of your UIL music with a great tone, great tuning, correct rhythms, dynamics, blend and balance.
---Perform in the Pre-UIL Concert. (date and time TBA)
---Attend weekly sectionals.
---Pass all of your classes the 4th six weeks on your report card. (You will not be able to regain eligibility at the three weeks reporting period)
Time: TBA
Where: Burleson High School
(school transportation provided)
Schedule TBA--There is a slight chance that we could be scheduled to compete on March 31st. Please mark your calendars for both days. |
