| Welcome Miss Jock's and Miss Myrick's Fifth Grade Classes |
Hello, this is my fourth year teaching fifth grade here at Landstown Elementary. I moved down here from New York in 2004. The snow became too much to handle and I needed a change. I just completed my Master's Degree in Counseling.
So far this year has been great. I couldn't ask for a better group of students. They are all bright and extremely motivated. This is going to be a very successful school year and I look forward to seeing them shine on the SOL's in May. We are all working together as a team because we are only as strong as our weakest link and the students will peer tutor eachother as we all work for the common goal of success. |

We are currently working on unit 5, which deals with fractions. In this unit the students will learn how to add/subtract fractions, compare fractions, convert mixed numbers to improper fractions, improper fractions to mixed numbers, and find equal fractions.
Remember to keep working on division at home!!!
