Students hope your enjoying 2010! It's going to be a great year!
We have been playing our Blue and Gray games each month and the students have had a blast!
Marathon Days jog has also been great, your students have really begun to pace themselves and last the whole 7 minutes without stopping. Our Basketball unit was great fun and our Newbury Team did an awesome job congratulations boys and girls! We are almost done reviewing our field day games. It should be a great day. The kids are doing great and are so supportive of each other throughout their gym periods and are showing growth in all areas. Parents feel free to call me at Newbury extension 5060 if you have any questions! Now that the snow days are passed us and we can start to play outside keep up with the Tennis ball challenge but now with your friends outside, go for a walk around your block or jog around your block with your friends! Have Fun! The Tennis Ball challenge for all interested students here at Newbury school is described below take a look!
Tennis balls are fun to throw and catch right! Can you think of some fancy tricks to do while you throw or catch a tennis ball? I have set up a 10 part challenge for you to complete if you are ever home sick or off for a few days from school!!!!
Bring in your ideas for tricks or stunts in to gym and show me, for example throw a ball up and clap 2 times and catch the ball!
