Today the students read in their textbook about the states of Matter. The text reading was on Pages 468 through 477. After the reading the students completed a worksheet that directly related to States of Matter. After they finished that worksheet I provided a review worksheet over atoms.

Today the students were given a certain element and they had to figure out how many protons, neutrons, and electrons were in that atom. Once they had that information they made their atom with different fun candies. Once I checked to make sure it was correct they got to eat their atom.

Today the students started to complete a magic egg lab. They were looking to see if a raw egg would float or sink in regular water, sugar water, or oil water. They will continue with this lab tomorrow and Friday. A big lab report will be typed and handed in on Friday.
