Friday was a very exciting day. Our class WON the Penny Power contest for the primary grades. Thank you for all your pennies, nickels, etc. We will have our ice cream party during the carnival week under the tents.
This week's theme is "Favorite Books". These are classics that have a moral to them. We will focus on remembering what happens at the beginning, middle, and at the end of our stories.
Our words this week introduce "y" as a long "e" sound.
The spelling words are: puppy, funny, bumpy, sandy, bunny, penny, before, heard.
In grammar, we will be using "not" in contractions: aren't didn't, isn't, don't, wasn't, etc.
Math will introduce nickels into our money counting, ordering events by time, subtracting a number from ten, and making an organized list to solve a problem.
Have a blessed week.
