| This course will attempt to examine the psychology of British literary characters from approximately 700 A.D. all the way to today. Clearly, we will have to cover a lot of ground in each unit! We will proceed chronologically, focusing on texts that strong historical importance, particularly interesting characters, or both. Selections will include Beowulf, The Canterbury Tales, Macbeth, and Pygmalion, among others. |
