This is the first computer course offered at Jackson Senior High School. After completion of Computer Applications with a C or above, students may enroll in Advanced Computer Applications. Juniors and seniors may dual enroll for credit in Advanced Computer Applications (AD101) at Southeast Missouri State University. Grades from Computer Applications and Advanced Computer Applications will be averaged and turned in as one grade to SEMO.
In this course, students will gain an understanding of computer components, an introduction to word processing, spreadsheet, database software, and presentation applications.

Marketing includes a broad range of activites to create satisfying exchange relationships in a dynamic environment through creation, distribution, promotion, pricing of goods, product/service planning and financing.

In Personal Finance, we will study consumer buying, insurance, banking, savings, careers and credit. Personal Finance or Business Economics is required for all students during their high school years. Individual accounting needs, taxes, interest rates, etc. are taught in this course, as well as interviewing skills and job awareness.
