Recently students took a quiz on ratios and proportions. They needed to know how to write ratios three different ways, write ratios in simplest form, find unit rate, decide if two ratios are equivalent, and solve proportions for missing variables. I am so proud of the following students who scored 100 percent on their quizzes. These students work hard, study, and do their homework, which is evident when they take their quizzes or tests. Congrats-Angel Chheang, Angel Cruz, Helen Do, Jocelyne, Martha, Brayan, Liban, Eileen, Gracie, Giovanny O., Elijah, Diana, Ismail, Justin, Juan, Kelly, Dianne, Phuong, Viviana, Brian, Larissa, Victor, Juliet, Brittany, Jaamisha, and Ahmed. You all make me so proud. Keep up the hard work Super Stars!
Students-Please make sure that when you complete your homework all your work and steps are included. I will not accept work that only has answers. I need to see your steps! Thank you:).

Wow! I cannot believe it is 2010 already. Welcome back students. I hope you had a very enjoyable winter break.

Students-please have a safe and relaxing well-deserved break!
Math-When you get back on November 30, we will continue investigating equations. You have learned how to estimate and use substitution to solve equations. The week of the Nov. 30 you will learn another strategy to solve one-step equations.
Language Arts-Please turn in your Research Reports by Mon., Nov. 30 if you have not already. We will begin writing Response to Literature Essays when you come back from your break.

I am proud to announce more proficient and advanced math scores. On Chapter 2 test 24 students scored proficient or advanced. This time on Ch. 3 test the number increased to 31 proficient and advanced. Let's all study really hard so that even more students score prof or adv on Ch. 4 test! I know you all can do it!
