Welcome to my website for PE news & updates. Yes, Physical Education is a real class required for all students in the state of Arizona. Physical Educators are licensed by the state and are considered "highly qualified" under the No Child Left Behind legislation.
As a professional Physical Educator I take PE very seriously. I also try to make PE seriously fun! The nation is in the midst of an obesity epidemic as described by the CDC. What does the Surgeon General recommend to help fight obesity? Quality physical education. If PE isn't fun, students may not be as active and skillfull as they would like and I have not done my job.
In my PE classes students will be exposed to a number of different skills including how to throw & catch, dribble a ball with the hands & feet, volley, kick, as well as locomotor movements.

An after-school session of games & activities for students who want to play more than just what is covered in P.E.
This is held on Monday and Thursday afternoons from 3:15-4:30pm. As of right now Miss Poulos and myself are only allowing 30 students to attend. Enrollment will most likely open again in the spring.
