Homework for Tuesday (homework)
Due Date: October 20, 2009 |
 |
There isn't much homework tonight, other than working on your presentation for the New Life Convention that will take place tomorrow!
Remember, be well prepared so that you can speak confidently. I'm looking for students to show me what they KNOW not what they can READ from a piece of paper. You may have your papers to look at, but try to be able to speak about your topic with confidence. I'll attach the rubrics again, which include the four components of the topic. |

T.G.I.F. (Why do the short weeks, always feel like the longest?) (homework)
Due Date: October 16, 2009 |
 |
Weekend Homework is as follows:
1) Finish your magazine article story. We will be sharing them in small groups on Monday and I will be collecting them after we share.
2) Read for 20 minutes.
3) Work on your science project. Remember, you have time to work on it at school on Monday and Tuesday, so DON'T complete your project, but get a good start. Make sure you have work to do at school.
4) Green science books will be collected Thursday, so make sure you have them in order(dates, complete etc.)!
**Please find attached as documents (windows friendly), the rubric for the science projects which we talked about in class (one for each grade). To save paper I have posted it here and will have a copy available to look at when working on the project at school.
You have at least two copies of the project outline this way, as I have included the outline at the top of the rubric, and you should already have a copy in your green books.
***Remember, the project is open for you to present in the best way possible as long as you have included ALL four components of the outline. You can use your best skills (art, math, language) to show us what you know. You are a scientist TEACHING other scientists about what you have discovered!!! Have fun with it! |

Remember, you need to copy and paste links into the web address section at the top of your page. I can't seem to get them so that they simply 'link' right there. The grade 5 links were on October 6th, so you'll have to look at past news to access them.
Here are some grade 6 links.
