Science is exciting in fifth grade! In addition to participating in the MSS Science Fair, we study the Rocks and Minerals, the Earth's structures and history, our own Solar System, and the Stars and Galaxies well beyond it. We also study the human body and its many systems in detail!
Grades come from a variety of in-class assignments, projects, and activities, as well as worksheets and tests. Some out-of class work and review is also taken into consideration.

In fifth grade Social Studies, we focus on the history of our continent and country. We study the earliest Americans, the ancient civilizations which flourished on the land we call home, the influx of European colonists, and the development and growth of the United States of America.
Grades come from in-class projects, worksheets, and tests, as well as some out-of-class assignments and reviews.
