Hi! I am Jennifer Eveland. Every week, I teach you about art, ideas, and how to tap into your creative side!
You are always welcome to come to the Art Room. I am available before and after school, from 9 - 9:30am, 10:30 - 12, and 1:00-1:30 Monday through Friday. Sorry, but I cannot share my supplies for your other school projects.

World of Art for the year: The Natural World
Big Idea: CHANGE
Essential Questions:
o How does nature adapt to environmental change?
o What design structures are evident in Nature?
o How are design and nature interrelated?
o How do artists depict nature?
Grading: Each student will receive 2 grades: Art Achievement and Work Habits.
Art Achievement:
Artwork 70%: Graded using rubrics for overall idea behind artwork and techniques.
Self Reflections and Quizzes 30%: Students are required to reflect and evaluate their own work and are tested on knowledge of Art History, concepts and technical information.
Work Habits:
25% Attendance (Being here and being on time! If you miss a class, you must make up missed work. )
25% Behavior (Following rules and staying on task.)
25% Completion and Craftsmanship (Finishing and turning in work on time. Revising artwork using project-specific craftsmanship guidelines.)
25% Participation (Sharing in group discussions. Allowing for others to participate. Bringing in required materials when asked.)

Around the World in 40 Weeks
Big Idea: PLACE
Essential Questions:
o What makes a place a place? How do places change?
o How do PLACES influence each other?
o How does PLACE affect the artwork made in a place? (surroundings, materials, culture)
o How does PLACE reflect personal and cultural identity?
Grading: I evaluate student artwork using rubrics. Also, I keep records of attendance and class participation. Each student will receive 2 grades: Art Achievement and Work Habits.

o How do we predict our identities will change?
o What causes our identities to change?
o How and why do artists show their own identities?
o What images reflect a time period or culture?
