The first semester will be a more in depth coverage of Algebra 1 and at a much faster pace, with the addition of matrices. Second semester we will cover logarighms, trigonometry, rational functions, series and sequences.

Semester two we will start with basic right triangle trigonometry and the Law of Sines and Cosines. We will cover about half of chapter 9(circles) and then we will cover all of chapter 10 and 11, which deals with area of 2-D shapes, and surface area and volume of 3-D shapes. We will do a short unit on probalilty, statistics and unit analysis. We will review linear equations and factoring, in hopes of improving student success in Algebra 2 next year, and then finish with transformations. There is a distict EOC this semester.
