The appreciation of music is often based on the sequential study of and the
evolution of music. In this course, studies will include both the styles of music and musicians.
Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Contemporary, Jazz, Folk, Rap, Rock, and
the Gregorian chant will be experienced. In order to appreciate music, one must research and
respond to played music.
