Math Counts
Mrs. Stumpfs Math Class
All students will develop computational, procedural and problem-solving skills that provide a solid foundation for further study in Mathematics. To meet the needs of my students my goals are to: Establish an atmosphere where students feel comfortable asking questions. Maintain the same goals for all students. Allow additional time and practice for students who need it. Clearly identify the skill and concept the class is working on. Have students show their work. Encourage effort and persistence and celebrate successes with my students. Classroom Materials 3 ring binder for class divided into math notes, math homework and graded assignments. Writing utensil Red pen Covered textbook Calculator Daily homework Grading Policy Assignments include daily homework, quizzes, tests and projects. All quizzes and tests are announced in advance, there are no surprises. Assignments are given point values. All are added to determine their grade. Check genesis weekly for an update.
