Reading Log Rubric Log Completion Instructions: -

• Name and class period MUST be written on top.
• Your DEAR book selection MUST be teacher approved and logged or reading log will NOT be accepted.
• The dates, times, and parental/guardian signatures MUST be filled out for each day. (10 points each = 30 points)
• The title, author, and element code may be written once. ( 5 points each = 15 points)
• Log MUST be organized and neat. (5 points)
• The written response for the element code MUST have the following: (50 points)

1. be written neatly or typed
2. use at least 3 descriptive details and examples from the novel to support answer.
3. spelling and grammar should be properly used.
4. The written response should be 8-10 sentences.

*Please remember each day the reading log is late 11 points will be deducted. *
EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITY

You have two options for your extra credit. You can do one or both. It is up to you.
1. Read the Hunger Games novel and go see the movie. Fill out the two Forms attached below in the documents area. Make sure you're using complete thoughts and examples.
2. Write a book recommendation by filling out the worksheet attached below. Make sure you're using complete thoughts and examples. (Maximum of two recommendations can be turned in)
