Hello! Welcome to Mrs. Stanek's guidance information page. This is my second year with Moberly High School and I'm excited about the adventures to come! For the 2012-2013 school year, I will be working with the Freshmen class (Class of 2016) and the Junior class (Class of 2014).
This page will be a continuous work in progress and updated with new information as it becomes available. Please make sure that you go to your class and check for new information on a regular basis! I have an open door policy so stop by to see me! I look forward to working with all of you! A TERRIFIC RESOURCE!!!!
updated October 2, 2012 NextStepU There is a website that has a lot of useful information for college searches, ACT/SAT information, career planning, etc. that is available to students and...
Class of 2014
As Juniors this year, you will hear a lot more discussion about your plans following high school graduation! We will really make sure that your Personal Plan of Study is following the direction that you still want to go.
The ACT test is going to become a focus for this school year as well as your senior year! I will post all of the testing dates that we offer at MHS with the deadline dates for your information. As a Junior, you will be able to take the ACT in April, 2013 at no charge to you! Moberly School District pays for juniors to take the ACT one time...this is a great opportunity to take advantage of! I will post information that will be helpful as the year progresses, please check classjump, student portal, and email on a regular basis! Looking forward to a great year.....
Class of 2016
The transition to high school can be a time of stress and added anxiety for each of you (parents included!). I want you to know that I am here to offer any support that I can to assist you in the success of your academic career, including beyond your years at Moberly High School!
I will post dates that will be important to you as they come up during the school year. My door is always open, please let me know if there are any issues I can try to help with. As you know, the grading cycle is different at MHS than it was at the middle school. We have 6 terms set, which is when grades will be reported. We also have progress grades that fall 1/2 way through a term. The first progress grade check is Monday, September 10. At this time, if you are earning a grade of D or F, a letter will go home to your parent/guardian. The end of Term 1 is Friday, September 28. These grades will be sent home with you on October 3. Please let me know if you have any questions about anything! |
