This coming school year, be sure to get all of your work turned in on time.

When sending your work through ClassJump be sure it is in the correct form if you are using Office 2007 or Open Office.

Please, read your homework rubric! Many of you are losing points on homework because the assignment line of your heading is either incorrect or incomplete. These are points that nobody should be missing!!!!
 
Homework for Middle School Students can only be submitted through ClassJump or a hard copy turned in at the beginning of the class when the assignment is due.

Work turned in after class is considered late. All late assignments are scored and then 50% deducted as a late penalty. No Study Guides will be accepted after the beginning of the class period in which you take your test on that chapter.
No e-mailed homework will be accepted

Life Science
Life Science will be covering Cells, Heredity and Genetics, Bacteria, Plants and Animals. This year students will be completing two (2) projects each quarter. One of these projects will be required and the other will be one you choose. The due date for the required project will be listed on your homework syllabus and the other is listed on the Chapter Project rubric. Give careful consideration to the projects you choose as they are the equivalent of a test grade.
Earth Science
In Earth Science we will be studying the solid Earth and its place in the universe. Some of the topics we will be covering are: Minerals and Rocks, Plate tectonics, Earthquakes, Volcanoes, Weathering and Soil erosion and deposition. Energy reaources and water as well as the solar system and climates.
This year students will be completing two (2) projects each quarter. One of these projects will be required and the other will be one you choose. The due date for the required project will be listed on your homework syllabus and the other is listed on the Chapter Project rubric. Give careful consideration to the projects you choose as they are the equivalent of a test grade.
Physical Science
Students in Physical Science will be learning about Chemistry first - What is matter? What are the properties of solids, liquids, and gases? Atoms and the periodic table, chemical bonds, reactions, acids and bases all make up the first part our the course. The second part begins with Physics and kinetic and potential energy, types of machines, what is work and how is it accomplished.
This year students will be completing two (2) projects each quarter. One of these projects will be required and the other will be one you choose. The due date for the required project will be listed on your homework syllabus and the other is listed on the Chapter Project rubric. Give careful consideration to the projects you choose as they are the equivalent of a test grade.
