Welcome Back to School!

Leveled Literacy Instruction (LLI)will incorporate daily small group reading instruction using appropriate leveled text, phonics instruction, word work, writing responses and reading comprehension strategies.

Math will be geared toward the Differentiated Instruction Math Targets according to each students skill level and performace based on data driven unit assessments. Math manipulatives will be a utilized on a daily basis. Daily Math warm-ups will be a daily component of math instruction as a review of basic math skills.

Daily written expression instruction that will incorporate the basic writing process, organization of ideas and sentences, punctuation, integrated spelling (past and present words), brainstorming/prewriting process using visual supports and organizers, editing/proofreading, class/grade level writing rubric focus.
