This year long course will cover 500 years of history from the period of Columbus to modern times. Students will analyze and evaluate primary and secondary documents and "write histories" based on their analysis. The coursework in this college prep class is designed to prepare students for the AP exam that will be proctored in May. Students enrolled in this class have an opportunity to travel to Waswagoning on the Lac Du Flambeau Indian Reservation.

This semester course focuses on the rights and responsibilities of United States citizens. Students will explore the four levels of government (federal, state, tribal, and local) and analyze their impacts on individual citizens and society. Concentrated study of current events, mock elections, and class discussion/debate will be the focus of this course.
