Auto Mechanics A
This course gives students a good comprehensive knowledge about automobiles and their design and repair. Classroom and hands-on lab activities include the areas of safety, design, diagnostics, troubleshooting and repair of many of the complex systems contained in today’s automobile. These systems include the steering, suspension, electrical, fuel, emission, brake, cooling, heating and exhaust systems. This course provides an opportunity to learn about basic automotive maintenance and repair.
Auto Mechanics B
This is an advanced course in Automobile Mechanics. Classroom and hands-on lab activities include the areas of safety, general service and repair, steering and suspension service, cooling system service, starting/ charging systems, engine performance testing and minor tune-ups.
PREREQUISITE: Automobile Mechanics A
Auto Mechanics C
This is the second advanced course in Automobile Mechanics. Classroom and hands-on lab activities include the areas of tune up, emission control, basic automotive electricity, computerized engine control, brake system troubleshooting, fuel systems, and minor engine repairs.
PREREQUISITE: Automobile Mechanics B

Small Engines A
This course is a general overview of basic operation, maintenance, and repair of small engines. The emphasis of the course deals with the concepts of engine design and the function of its major operating systems. Students will have the opportunity to demonstrate learning through written assignments, tests/quizzes, and hands on lab activities. Importance will be placed on the relationship between small engines and car engines.
