Honors Algebra II Block 8
Students in this course will experience intensive treatment of the Real Number system, first
degree equations and inequalities, matrices, exponents and radicals, rational expressions and
equations, second degree equations and inequalities, the complex number system, conic sections
and their equations, functions, and polynomials. Trigonometric functions and logarithms will be
introduced as time permits. The TI-83 graphing calculator will be used throughout the course.
Honors Algebra II Block 4
Students in this course will experience intensive treatment of the Real Number system, first
degree equations and inequalities, matrices, exponents and radicals, rational expressions and
equations, second degree equations and inequalities, the complex number system, conic sections
and their equations, functions, and polynomials. Trigonometric functions and logarithms will be
introduced as time permits. The TI-83 graphing calculator will be used throughout the course.
Algebra II Block 1
Students will see the application of math in real life situations while reinforcing skills learned in
previous courses. This course will include a study of various coordinate systems, probability and
statistics, and graphs and functions (both linear and quadratic). Students will complete projects
individually and in group situations. Technology will be incorporated as students complete
spreadsheets on the computer and learn to use the TI-83 or TI-82 graphing calculator.
Advanced Mathematical Decision Making Block 7
Advanced Mathematical Decision Making is a capstone mathematics course that follows Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II. It builds on and extends what students have learned and covers other mathematics topics not typically taught in high school. The course also helps students develop college and career skills such as collaborating, conducting research, and making presentations. The student develops and applies skills used in solving problems in applied situations involving numerical reasoning, probability, statistical analysis, finance, mathematical selection, and modeling with algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and discrete mathematics.
Algebra II Block 3
Students will see the application of math in real life situations while reinforcing skills learned in
previous courses. This course will include a study of various coordinate systems, probability and
statistics, and graphs and functions (both linear and quadratic). Students will complete projects
individually and in group situations. Technology will be incorporated as students complete
spreadsheets on the computer and learn to use the TI-83 or TI-82 graphing calculator.
