This course explores American Literature from the Early Colonial period through contemporary works. You will learn to examine and evaluate literature both on a critical and personal level through writing responses, essays, tests/quizzes, journal entries, and classroom discussions. You will continue to hone your vocabulary, grammar, and speaking skills through classroom activities and practices.

English 12 introduces many important works from British literature, each revealing the evolution of the language we predominately use today. This course will provide you with enriching opportunities to improve your skills at reading, writing, and speaking through the analysis and exploration of literature. As this course is required for graduation from Woodbury High School, students need to come to class prepared on a daily basis and complete all major writing and speaking assignments in a successful manner.

The UpRoar! is Woodbury High School's version of a school newspaper. You can find The UpRoar! on the S-Drive under the file name "The UpRoar!" 

The UpRoar! is in its first year of existence. We are looking to release an edition each month. The newspaper is a club organization that meets after school on Tuesdays (3:15pm) and before school on Fridays (7:45am). If you are interested in joining, please contact Mr. Moran in room 231. We are always looking for newsworthy stories and submissions for our columns!
