Course Title: Introduction to Engineering and Architectural Drafting
Instructor: Mr. Mark Hawkins Length of Course: 2 Semesters (1 hour a day) Prerequisites: Math, Geometry, and Basic Computer Skills Eligibilty: Sophomore, Juniors, or Seniors This course introduces the student to the basics of drafting, the “Graphic Language of Industry”. This course provides the student with experience in the use of drafting instruments and materials for the purpose of communicating their ideas clearly and concisely. Topics covered include drafting equipment usage, lettering fundamentals, sketching, line-work used on drawings, geometric construction, multi-view projection, orthographic projection, dimensioning techniques, isometric drawings, scale, sectional views, and basic computer-aided drafting (CAD) skills. There are no current calendar items.
