This is my second year at Moberly High School, and I will be teaching American History and World History this year. I am also the head boys' basketball coach and the head boys' tennis coach at Moberly High School. This course covers world history from early civilizations through World War II. The course will compare and contrast different civilizations or empires and will focus on themes such as exploration, rise and fall of empires, formation of governments, revolutions, religion, and economy. The course provides a background for the origin and development of the United States and the modern world.

In 9th grade Connections students will gain the individual and small group attention to help them succeed in high school. By connecting with a teacher students have a valuable resource on their side. Hopefully the relationships built in Connections will enable Moberly students to learn the necessary skills to give them a choice when they graduate.

This course covers American history from the time period of Reconstruction through the end of the 20th Century. Students will study the development of modern America and will focus on the ways in which events, politics, individuals, and movements have shaped and changed the United States and have influenced the modern world. Students will take an end-of-course exam ("EOC") in this course.
